Product Description

The coconut water is a refreshing and naturally sweet drink, obtained from the pulp of green coconuts. It is a popular beverage in many parts of the world, especially in tropical and subtropical regions, and is often consumed as a healthy alternative to sugary drinks and sodas.

The coconut water is known for being a rich source of nutrients, including electrolytes such as potassium, sodium, magnesium and calcium, as well as vitamins B and C. It is also rich in antioxidants, which help combat free radicals in the body and may have health benefits.

Ingredients

The only ingredients of coconut water are the water naturally present inside green coconuts and some minerals such as potassium, sodium, magnesium and calcium.

Allergens

The product is free of potential allergens as per RESOLUTION – RDC No. 26, OF JULY 2, 2015.

Intended use

Whole natural fruit pulp or as an ingredient in recipes and formulations.

Application Suggestion

Product to be delivered to the consumer (aseptic drums).

Packaging and Transport
  • Packaging
    Steel sheet drums lined with 02 (two) bags, one LDPE plastic with spout and another aseptic packaging, containing 200 kg of pulp and steel sheet lids. Hermetically sealed.
  • Transport and
    Storage
    Transport must be carried out in closed vehicles (box trucks). Any damaged packaging that allows access to contaminants must be rejected upon receipt. Storage at room temperature.
  • Conservation
    At room temperature. Once opened, consume on the same day.
  • Shelf Life
    24 months after the manufacturing date, if stored under the described conditions.

Sensory Characteristics

    the color of coconut water is generally clear and transparent, with a slightly yellowish hue that may vary depending on the maturity of the coconut and the presence of minerals in the water. The color should be uniform and without cloudiness.
  • Consistency
    coconut water should have a homogeneous and fluid consistency, without lumps or solid residues.
  • Aroma*
    the aroma of coconut water is fresh and pleasant, with floral and fruity notes that may resemble melon, pineapple, orange or lemon. The aroma should be characteristic, without strange or unpleasant odors.
  • Flavor*
    coconut water has a sweet and mild flavor, with slightly astringent and bitter notes that may vary depending on the coconut variety and the ripeness level of the fruit. The flavor should be balanced, without strange or unpleasant tastes.
